From New York to the world. The imperial story
The Kayser story begins in 1880 in New York. Julius Kayser founded "Julius Kayser & Co." initially as a silk glove company. Just a few years later, black silk stockings were added to the product line and quickly gained popularity. By 1911, Kayser had developed into an international trading company for gloves, hosiery, and underwear – with locations in Canada, England, France, Italy, and Germany, among other countries.
In the 1950s, Kayser became one of the largest manufacturers of clothing and accessories in the USA. With the acquisition of companies such as Corrette Corporation (women's underwear) and Catalina Inc. (sportswear and swimwear), the brand continued to grow and consolidated its operations on Fifth Avenue in New York.
In 1962, Kayser expanded into South America. A production facility was established in Chile, followed later by expansion into China. There, the product range was expanded to include bras, briefs, socks, and nightwear. Today, Kayser is represented in more than 20 countries – including Chile, Peru, Mexico, the USA, Canada, and Australia. With Kayser DEluxe, we are continuing this tradition and bringing the brand back to Europe.
